The Concert
The Pre-Heritage Festival Concert this year will feature the
nationally known alternative rock band VERTICAL HORIZON, entertaining an
expected crowd of approximately 3,000 people. The Thursday evening, June 26 concert will be
held in the Heritage Festival "Beer Garden." In addition to the
popularity of VERTICAL HORIZON, a ticket price of $15 ($10 in advance)
is expected to assure a sell-out crowd.
Profits from the concert go to save and restore the 1846 Blodgett House, one of the oldest houses in Downers Grove and part of the Underground Railroad.

Our Vision
Our vision is to
restore and renovate the 1846 Blodgett House on the Downers Grove
Historical Museum Campus to
preserve the Heritage of Downers Grove and create a museum and cultural center focusing on our community's involvement in the Underground Railroad.
